Marshall Islands NDC update
In the 2018 NDC, the Republic of Marshall Islands (RMI) committed to secure technical assistance and resources to strengthen capacity across national and local Governments, as well as civil society and NGO networks, to design and deliver gender-responsive climate change programs and services. They commited to follow a best-practice adaptation and resilience approach, taking into account the latest scientific evidence, building on relevant lessons from other countries and regions, and working with development partners. They acknowledged that a knowledge-first evidence-based approach will be critical, as will be taking into account indigenous knowledge and the knowledge of rural communities.
